Whether you’re into retro video games, Pokemon cards, or Funko Pop collectibles, the Quattro Hotel and Conference Centre was the place to be on Sunday afternoon.
Hundreds filed into the hotel’s conference hall for the Collector-Con event, which boasted dozens of vendors selling a wide array of collectible items, memorabilia and more.
“It's just all pop culture related things. We discovered years ago, without anything going on in the Sault, that people really enjoyed this kind of thing,” said organizer Michael Turcotte.
“It's just a passion for us. There's so many negative things going on in the city, (so) it's nice to see some positive things for the youth and families.”
The annual event has run for the past 6+ years, and organizer Michael Turcotte said it’s always been a hit with the public.
“It's always been busy since the beginning. It continues to grow, which we're grateful for,” Turcotte said.
Collector-Con is running until 6 p.m. on Sunday, with a $10 entry fee at the door. Children under 10 can enter the show free of charge.
