Lace up your running shoes and ring in the holidays with the Sault Striders’ annual Boxing Day Fun Run.

This festive event will take place at The Water Tower Inn (360 Great Northern Rd.) on Dec. 26 at 10 a.m. But before the run, join The Striders at 9:30 a.m. for a gathering to get everyone ready and energized for the morning ahead.

According to a news release, participants can choose between a 5 km route or a family-friendly 2 km option, perfect for runners and walkers of all levels. Following the run, attendees will enjoy a delicious buffet-style breakfast and an awards gala celebrating the achievements of Sault Striders members throughout the year.

As an added bonus, your run registration grants access to The Water Tower Inn's pool for a post-run refresh.

“This is more than just a run,” said Sault Striders president Jonathan Mogg.

“Events like the Boxing Day Fun Run bring people together, whether they’re seasoned runners or just looking for a fun way to stay active during the holidays. It’s about creating connections and celebrating our vibrant running community.”

Registration is now open, and the event welcomes individuals of all ages. Entry fees are $20 for adults and $13 for youth, which include the run, breakfast, and pool access. Sign up online here.
