Sabercats teams wrap up regular season

Both Sault Sabercats teams have wrapped up regular season action, both with wins on the final weekend of the season

After trading early scores, the Sault Sabercats varsity team will head into the Ontario Football Conference playoffs on a winning note.

The Sabercats scored 30 unanswered points to beat the Hamilton Hurricanes 37-6 on Sunday afternoon in Hamilton to wrap up the OFC regular season with a 6-1-1 record.

Tyler Brechin and Nick Pagnotta had a pair of touchdowns each for the Sabercats

Carter Harrison had the other major for the Sabercats while a field goal by Cole Taz rounded out the Sault scoring.

The JV Sabercats will head into the playoffs with a 7-0-1 record.

The JV club was scheduled to face Sarnia on Saturday, but the Sturgeon forfeited the game.
