TORONTO — Former Canadian rugby captain Aaron Carpenter, Canada's all-time caps leader with 80, has retired after a string of head injuries. The 34-year-old from Brantford, Ont.

REGINA — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have released veteran quarterback Kevin Glenn. The moves comes a day after the Roughriders acquired quarterback Zach Collaros in a trade with Hamilton.

TORONTO — Striker Tomasz Radzinski and defender Candace Chapman lead the list of players eligible for Canada Soccer Hall of Fame consideration in 2018.
