On March 15, 2014 at approximately 6:30 pm, Blind River Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a disturbance on a residential street in Blind River. Investigation revealed that two males had been involved in an altercation.

A 54-year-old male was arrested as a result of a domestic violence investigation. It is alleged that on the 1st of March the accused assaulted his wife by striking her in the head.
