Highway 144 Reduced to One Lane Friday, July 6, 2007 Highway 144 at Elboga Lake, Muldrew Township (40 kilometers North of Cartier, Ontario) is expected to be closed in both directions for a period of 5 hours.

RIDE Sault Ste Marie OPP officers conducted RIDE in two separate locations last night. A total of 83 vehicles were checked resulting in 2 Highway traffic act charges and one roadside test being conducted. No Drinking and driving charges were laid.

MISSING PERSON (East Algoma OPP) The East Algoma Thessalon Detachment are currently looking for a missing male from the Thessalon Township area. The male recently relocated from the Diamond Lake area located in Johnson Township, north of Desbarats.

R.I.D.E. SPOT CHECK GETS ANOTHER ONE OFF THE ROAD (Goulais River, Ont.) A R.I.D.E. spot check at the intersection of Hwy 552 and Goulais Mission Road found another person literally drinking and driving.

DISAGREEMENTS (Sault Ste Marie, Ont.) Sault Ste Marie OPP have no items of interest to report this morning. Officers at the Sault Detachment attended at a series of family disputes and domestics over the past twenty four hours.
