Update: Investigation Continues Heyden, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP are continuing their investigation into a collision between a train and a pick up truck earlier today in Heyden, just north of Sault Ste Marie.

Joy Ride Results in Injury (Hawk Junction, Ontario) – On February 10th, a snowmobile was taken from the backyard of a Hawk Junction resident and driven around town for the day when the owner was away.

Seven Disturbance Calls Sault Ste Marie OPP responded to seven non-violent disputes over the weekend. The verbal disagreements involved spouses, older children and neighbours.

Bus Driver Calls OPP (White River, Ontario) – On February 8th, a 24-year-old female from Thunder Bay boarded a westbound Greyhound bus in Sudbury. She reports that during the trip she was “creeped out” by a male that continued looking at her.

Theft and Mischief (Blind River, Ont.) - In October of 2004 East Algoma OPP had received calls involving the theft of some Golf Carts from the Huron Pines Golf and Country Club.

Heyden, Ont. - Another shift of snow machine patrol by officers continues to indicate the need for a police presence on their snow machines. Officers with the OPP Traffic and Marine Unit, the Sault Ste Marie City Police and volunteers with the S.T.O.

Goulais River, Ont. A sixteen-year-old Goulais River youth has been charged with trespassing after trying to cut through someone’s front yard with his snow machine. Last night at about 7 p.m.

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) – On Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged one of its officers with one count of Threatening Bodily Harm contrary to sec. 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Overdue Aircraft Located On Sunday, January 30, Cochrane Ontario Provincial Police detachment undertook an investigation of an overdue ultralight aircraft from Cochrane. The aircraft with two occupants on board was last seen at 2:45 p.m.
