TRUCK DRIVER IN CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER MAJOR COLLISION Alona Bay, Ontario., A Peterborough Ontario truck driver is in critical condition after a major collision yesterday left Hwy 17 north of Sault Ste Marie closed all night.

UPDATE TO MAJOR COLLISION NORTH OF SAULT STE MARIE Alona Bay, Ont., Officers from the Sault Ste Marie OPP remain at the scene of a collision on Hwy 17 at Alona Bay some 110 kms north of Sault Ste Marie.

SINGLE VEHICLE COLLISION ON AREA SIDE ROAD Heyden, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP investigated one single vehicle collision on an area side road yesterday. Yesterday afternoon at about 2:30 p.m. a Heyden woman was traveling on Old Mill Road in Heyden.

The Sault O.P.P. was faced with a few of minor accidents that were attributed to poor driving conditions. Police say that, this year, the first snowfall that covered the roads produced the usual number of accidents as cars slid off the road.
