TWO INJURIES WHEN HYRO POLE STRUCK Echo Bay, Ont., Two women were sent to Sault and Area Hospitals yesterday when the car they were driving struck a hydro pole. At about 6:30 p.m., a car was westbound on Hwy 17 in the town of Echo Bay.

SINGLE VEHICLE ROLL OVER INJURES ONE. Searchmont, Ont., A single vehicle roll-over collision yesterday resulted in minor injuries to the lone occupant of the vehicle. Yesterday at about 5:30 p.m.

STOLEN SNOW MACHINES Echo Bay, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP is investigating reports of three stolen snow machines over the weekend. On Friday evening the operator of one machine stopped at a restaurant in Echo Bay.

Sault Ste. Marie O.P.P. advises that Highway 17 north of the Sault was re-opened at 3:00 p.m. Hayden to Wawa had been closed due to extreme weather conditions. Snow and blowing snow off Lake Superior had reduced visibility to zero.

The Sault Ste. Marie O.P.P. is investigating the theft of a snow machine from an Echo Bay residence sometime after midnight on March 15. The thief drove the sled from the rear yard. Missing is a red 2001 Polaris R600.
