HEYDEN YOUTH INJURED IN CAR- BIKE COLLISON Heyden, Ont. A fourteen year old Heyden youth was taken to Sault and Area Hospitals by ambulance yesterday after he was injured in a collision on Hwy 17. At about 3:30 p.m.

GARDEN RIVER FIRST NATIONS HOUSE FIRE Garden River, Ont. At 7:00 a.m. yesterday, the Garden River Fire Department and the Anishinabek Police Service responded to a fire alarm at 42 Blue Jay Court in Garden River.

At 7:00 a.m. today, the Garden River Fire Department and the Anishinabek Police Service responded to a fire alarm at 42 Blue Jay Court in Garden River. A family of eight narrowly escaped from their burning home. One person sustained minor injuries.

This O.P.P. detachment had a quiet night last night and has nothing to report. GOULAIS FLOODING SUBSIDES Flood waters from the Goulais River have begun to subside with the list of close roads growing smaller.

Late yesterday afternoon the Goulais River, north of Sault Ste. Marie, crested its banks and extensive flooding has occurred in the area. Numerous homes have been surrounded by water and a large number of area side roads and highways are flooded.
