Bonnie, you and I worked together at London Life in the late 1950s and you and Jerry were married the year after Barry and I.
Condolences to you and your family for the loss of Jerry.

This already looks like a disastrous plan, just more of Ford's push to kill our health care system and put it in the hands of the private sector, whose prime goal is the highest profit possible.

These are wonderful paintings/photos. It would be great if they were entered on jigsawexplorer.com. People all over the world do these daily puzzles and these photos would showcase the beautiful northland.

This is outright elder abuse by the Ford government. Instead of investing in retaining health care staff by giving them a decent wage and helping hospitals to cope with overloads, they are constantly trying to save money by denying acceptable health care to seniors and others. Surely it must be illegal to fill out paperwork without an individual's consent, consigning them to a place where they will likely die without family nearby, or draining any savings they may have in order to force them to move to a designated area.

I'm sure there are a lot more non-smokers than smokers, so a 50/50 division doesn't really add up.

Sad to see MPP Romano stick to the irresponsible party line. What the Ford government is doing is disgraceful. It's trying to fix long-standing health care problems by abusing seniors. Instead of retaining nurses and other health care workers by paying a decent wage and providing good home care, Ford opts to send them far from home and perhaps to a dreaded private home. It appears that none of Ford's buddies who run notoriously bad private homes have suffered any realistic monetary punishment for all the pandemic deaths that occurred in their homes due to insufficient care. And now he's facilitating the building of more private rather than public homes, although it is known that public homes provide better care. It's a red flag for a society when a government places care for its elderly somewhere after road building and business subsidies. And that's where Ford's ill-conceived plan puts us today.

People like this pathetic soul going on about mandates is getting so tiresome. We live by hundreds of mandates every day that help keep us healthy and safe from harm and living in a civilized society. A red traffic signal is a mandate for heaven's sake! Should we abolish red lights?

Every day when I check the age breakdown of new cases, it's the 20-39 and 40-59 people who have the highest numbers. Obviously they are not following rules meant to keep us all safe. Don't they realize that if they spread Covid to the 60-79 and over 80s those people stand a good chance of dying? They seem like pretty self-centred and selfish people to me.

Reading about the insane life that this doctor is leading just makes me so angry at what the Ford government is doing to our health care system and to the people who are trying to help out all the people in need of care, and the worst part of it is that it appears to be a deliberate effort to kill the system in favour of putting health care in private for-profit hands.
