Why are there so many going across the bridge, regardless of a job or not.

You have proof of this I presume, or is it aunt Mables cousin Suzy ‘s boy friend told me and he heard it from his friend who knows this guy. Most of the people I know are essential hospital personnel and need to support their families and may not be independently wealthy like you.Have a great day. 🍺 🍺 .

@sea - the irony of your post is that you question the reliability of Boyer’s sources, then cite your own sources (namely yourself) that are equally unreliable to the rest of us. I’m not surprised you didn’t get that before posting - anger makes people do funny things.

BTW Boyer, I’m not questioning your post as you’ve raised a valid point.

Far more Covid infections, are coming from Southern Ontario and international flights, not from crossing the border. Why in your statement, Boyer, did you not ask why people are still traveling outside our health unit region? You know there are more exits to this city than just the border right?

Every day when I check the age breakdown of new cases, it's the 20-39 and 40-59 people who have the highest numbers. Obviously they are not following rules meant to keep us all safe. Don't they realize that if they spread Covid to the 60-79 and over 80s those people stand a good chance of dying? They seem like pretty self-centred and selfish people to me.

the parents of kids at school catching, or out in the essential work force catching it doesn't mean they weren't following protocol.

ot means the protocol isn't efficient enough, balancing all the factors that go into public health assessments.

I mean yes, some are careless. but not all, so I wouldn't assume that as a whole.

Really? I see the 60+ group out not wearing their masks properly or at all. They pull it down to talk and move within 6" to talk let alone 6' away..so before you call the younger selfish take a good look around. This group is also out everyday getting groceries or wandering around stores because they have nothing to do. Ask any front line worker and they'll tell you what is really going on out there. Everyone is responsible for themselves and if your that compromised stay home.

what is selfish about people living their lives, this virus does kill but not as many as cancer, accidents etc.....never mind the drugs, nobody feels guilty about living their lives, if people are afraid........stay in your home let the rest of us live.

The ‘doing what we are already doing’ is absurd. We have a northern Ontario bubble of sorts, but that does not fix the problem. The feds have totally blown vaccine availability and distribution. How about reverse thinking? Give the vaccine to the northern people first, and then give it to the south after. Thins out the herd. As far as Trudeau’s announcement about vaccine production? A joke. The plant won’t be ready until late summer. That is if it passes all the inspections. Then, they will produce a vaccine that is less reliable than the two that we Canadians ought to be getting. Justy will be vaccinating the dead.

There is no northern Ontario bubble. Not even “sort of”. People are free to move about as they choose. I don’t think they should, but they have and do.

We don’t have a Northern Ontario bubble...my neighbour is getting company from down south in a lockdown that are staying at there house for a few days. Also getting weekend company. They have not been following any restrictions since the beginning. Very frustrating.

Keep drinking the gov and the media koolaide ppl. Its got to the point that media platforms run countries, and the real news gets hidden under the Covid news, nice distraction...

Real news? As in Breibart or Epoch Times real news? They pander to sheep of a different colour. Usually tangerine, or shades of.

There is no point to worrying. It never helps. We need to be cautious and use sense when we must go into a public place.

Paranoia and empty headed reliance on anecdotal evidence. Not a good mix.

So our border is closed yet we allow people to freely cross that border...WHY? Doesn’t closed mean closed to ALL but essential workers? No one should be allowed into Ontario from Michigan and other points south. Let’s stop allowing people who don’t live or work here into the country.
