Lisa. Everything is political. Lawyers are always correct, but this time they could be. Parking is getting taken away downtown at an alarming rate. If it isnt easy to park and shop, people will take their business elsewhere. What I dont understand is how can the building in question not be torn down. Wasnt that the plan when they built the new one. Otherwise, they probably wouldnt have been granted a permit to build without having sufficient parking spots. No one is speaking about them changing what was agreed up in issuing the permit.

Maybe they shouldn't have built that place so big. Expansion is not always the best idea. Greed is a word.

Too bad the trademark queenstown is expunged. It hasn't been renewed since 1997. Wasted money by not keeping it active.

A dollar a day. Not even close. Look at what is paid for parking everywhere else downtown. Going rate is $35 to $40 per month. Do the research again, city hall.

have someone not associated to the downtown or city take a poll. and...look at your own poll. 41.7% feel the same a before and 33.3% haven't been downtown since the plaza opened. Increased foot traffic...no

No one is travelling here to go to the Plaza. This is the type of a Plaza one would build in a warmer climate. Who is going to do snow removal on this all winter. Remember we get 8 months of snow or inclement weather. How much will this cost the tax payer for snow removal. It will obviously cost $ to truck it away...unless they are going to pile it in the few parking spots they have. Remember too, this snow removal wont be easy with all the different levels and curbs. You cant just drive a plow truck around it. Not thought our very well.

Why don't these educational institutions educate these students as to the costs that they will incur when they arrive. These institutions should be held accountable. They are adding to the problem here in Sault Ste Marie. OR are they just concerned with money because they have built these facilities too big?

A great guy. He will be missed. In our thoughts and prayers forever. The Oknianski family.
