You extreme right wingers can huff and puff all you like, but PP, Canada's Trump, is going down. He will soon be relegated to the trash bin of history where he belongs. Listen and look at the guy. He's just an angry teenager in a man's body with no plan other than to scream and shout. You had your chance to elect a suitable leader in Jean Charest, and you blew it.

Interesting question, but rest assured there's an explanation that we won't like, and worse, it will make no sense in terms of what you think would be logical and appropriate under a democratic government where yes indeed, your elected representatives should, but apparently don't call the shots. It's never simple and straightforward, and only ends up being frustrating and heavy handed. They tell you "that's the way it is", the implication being, "if you don't like it, tough!"

My opinion. The Hounds chances were not good and were certainly not enhanced by the on ice officials, league discipline oversight, and an element of the Hounds' top brass more interested in not ruffling league feathers than advocating for the team. In that vein, I fail to understand why goal and penalty reviews, and calls and missed calls when it comes to penalties are never shown on the big screens in the arena. They are in other arenas and on the Rogers broadcasts. All the distracting noise that persists during crucial decision making moments in the games is very annoying as well.
As for the Hounds, they need better goaltending, a bigger, more physical defense, and on that note, forwards intent on finishing their checks à la Brady Martin. What a player! As for coach Dean, there's just so much he can do with the tools he is given, he cares a lot, he stands up for his players, and he knows the game.

People who get all touchy-feely about not wanting to offend Americans who didn't vote for Trump or offending their "friends" down there, need to develop more of an American mindset of patriotism. For them, it's a case, when push comes to shove, that their country is the only one that matters and it's the greatest. When we stand up for Canada, it's not partisanship, it's patriotism. Our long established relationship with the U.S., through no fault of ours, is no longer as it was and will never be the same again. We'd better start getting used to this and stand up unequivocally for our country just as Americans shamelessly, and sometimes shamefully, do.

The roads in the Sault are a disgrace and that is all there is to it. You cannot possibly avoid the potholes. There are just too many of them and the cost in wear and tear on our vehicles, were it ever to accrue to the city, would no doubt soon mean a serious effort to remedy this ever worsening case of potholes.

I'm all for fighting crime, but right now we have a major convicted felon to deal with on the international front, and with respect to dealing with him, PP just doesn't fit the bill for me.

They weren't in the habit of canceling school buses at the drop of a hat over weather in the past and I do not remember school bus accidents and fatalities being the result. I do, however, remember such tragedies when there was no snow at all. In other words, accidents happen, snow or no snow.
