The only thing I would like to see out of this coming election, regardless of the party that wins, is that Canada stays united and does NOT follow the USA down the rabbit hole.

Tony was such a special person. As neighbours, Colleen and I regret not hearing his voice in the backyard chatting with Maria.
Years ago we had two chihuahuas. They never barked at Tony's voice. But, when he came over one time the dogs barked until he spoke. They knew who he was :-)

Never charge rechargeable devices like cellphones and laptops on a bed or other flammable surface. It's tough to do this but, make sure kids aren't doing this.
BTW Electric vehicles also have lithium ion batteries. When they go up, the fire is intense and very quick.

In the west-end we are already delayed by 1 week. So there will be 15 days of garbage out at the curb this coming Saturday.

WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS A FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE
Many people in this west-end neighbourhood are confused by the TWO (2) garbage pickup schedule changes this past week.
Most of us pulled out bins back in once the delay was announced at 10:15 AM Friday. Some of these people will probably put their bins out Thursday night or early Friday for the delayed pickup. They will have 2 weeks of garbage out. These people will probably just leave them when they are not picked up Friday. This could be problematic if plows run by Friday night or Saturday morning.
Hopefully city refuse engineers are adaptable to the situation. They may have to stand bins up or even climb banks to dig them out.
