Afternoon news On May 27, 2014 at 11:20 am Patrol Officers arrested and charged a 26 year old male with Criminal Harassment, Threatening Death and Breach of Probation.

Evening news On May 26, 2014 at 10:53 am Patrol Officers arrested and charged Ryan Young, age 21 with Breach of Recognizance. Young had failed to sign in at the Police Station as per a previous release document. He will appear in court on June 23rd.

24-year-old Samantha Dunlop of Douglas St. was arrested by City Police last night for an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court in December 2013. She will be appearing in Provincial Court on June 30.

Saturday, May 24, 2014

Overnight a residence in the 700 block of Wellington Street East was entered. The entire home was ransacked and a flat screen television and a computer went missing. Overnight the side window of a vehicle was shot out by a culprit with a BB gun.

On May 22 at 4:40 p.m., patrol officers arrested and charged Tyler Taylor, age 23 of Wellington Street East, with Theft under $5,000 and Breach of Probation.

On May 21 at 7 p.m., patrol officers arrested and charged Alicia Haldenby, age 29 of James Street, with theft under $5,000. Officers learned she had shoplifted merchandise from a store in Station Mall. She will appear in court on June 23.

In the early afternoon and evening of May 20, 2014, patrol officers made two arrests in two separate domestic incidents. At 4:10 p.m. officers arrested and charged a 27-year-old male with two counts of assault after he assaulted his girlfriend.

On May 19 at approximately 8 p.m., police were called to 819 Trunk Road for a noise complaint. When police arrived they learned that one of the guests was wanted by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service for theft under $5000 and breach of probation.

40-year-old Karen Swanson, of Albert St. East, has been arrested and charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation following an altercation on Queen St. at 10:25 this morning.
