City Police Beat

On the 13th of January 2015 officer from Investigation Services arrested 44-year old Scott McPherson of Ford Street and charged him with two counts of assault. It is alleged that on December 2nd the accused assaulted a young person by grabbing him.

On January 12 at approximately 7 p.m. patrol officers attended to the intersection of Bruce and Wellington Street East regarding a vehicle that was driven up onto the snowbank.

19 year old Ashley Hilderley of Weldon Ave attended at the police station to turn herself in on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for prints.

City Police arrested 3 males today on 3 separate domestic related incidents. Early this morning officers attended to a west end residence and arrested a 52 year old male for 2 counts of assault and three counts of threatening.

On January 7 a homeowner in the 500 block of Albert Street West reported a break and enter. The break in occurred between December 31 and January 7. Items taken include two televisions, two Xbox consoles, several Xbox games and a laptop.

A 19-year-old male was arrested on January 6 for violating his court-issued curfew. The accused was on a release document from a domestic related incident with a curfew from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

On the 6th of January 2015 at approximately 9:30hrs Patrol Services arrested a 21yr old female wanted on an outstanding warrant from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.

In the evening hours of January 2, a homeowner in the 100 block of Bruce Street reported a break and enter. Items taken include a guitar, a camera and various creams and perfumes.

City Police were called to an active domestic complaint in the downtown area late yesterday afternoon.

On January 3 City Police conducted a vehicle stop at the intersection of Boundary Rd and Trunk Rd. Investigation revealed that a male in the passenger seat was wanted for two counts of theft under $5,000 and three counts of breach of probation.
