On October 25, 2014 City Police attended the No Frills Grocery Store regarding theft of goods. The accused Morgan Ashley Periard, age 26, allegedly left the store with $4.99 worth of groceries and made no attempt to pay for the items.

On the 25th of September 2014 at approximately 12:15 hrs, Patrol Services arrested a 23-year-old male on an outstanding arrest warrant for breach of probation.

On October 24, 2014 City Police arrested a 45 year old male, regarding domestic matters. The accused was on probation with court ordered conditions.

On October 23, 2014 at approximately 3:30 p.m., City Police located a male in the downtown area regarding outstanding domestic related warrants. The incidents date back to October 7, 2014 and continued until October 21, 2014.

On October 21, 2014, police officers arrested and charged a 27-year-old male with seven counts of Breach of Probation.

On the 19 October 2014 a female patron entered the TSC Tractor Supply Company and was seen by security leaving the building. She stole a welding machine valued over $700.00.

On October 20, 2014 at 10:30 am Detectives from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested and charged a 30 year old male with Assault. Officers learned that the accused had assaulted another family member on October 5th.

On October 19th Police Officers responded to a complaint of the theft of a boat and trailer.

On October 18 2014 at approximately 5:30 am Patrol Officers responded at a house fire located at 545 Connaught Ave in the west end of the city. After investigation Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services determined that the cause of the fire was arson.

Yesterday afternoon a homeowner reported a break and enter on Williams Street. Jewellery and electronics were taken. Last evening a homeowner returned to their residence on First Avenue and discovered their home had been broken into.
