A vehicle was broken into in the 100 block of Drive Inn Road and approximately $7,500 worth of power and hand tools were stolen. On January 17, a book of Group Health Trust Fund tickets were stolen from the Mac’s Mart on Boundary Road.

21-year-old Ryan Young of Selby Road was arrested for breaching a release document. It is alleged that the accused was located outside his residence at approximately 4 a.m. despite being on a curfew to be in his residence every night.

Saturday, January 25, 2014

22-year-old Caleb Seaton will be appearing in bail court on Monday. It is alleged that on January 23 while he was in custody at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre, he assaulted another inmate by repeatedly punching him and hitting him with a cup.

Evening news: On the 23 January 2014 Cody Allan Turdle (age 18) of the 300-block of First Avenue turned himself in to the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. He was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear on January 6, 2014.

On the 22 January 2014 police were called to the 100 block of Wellington St East. A resident awoke to the sound of someone on her back deck. On arrival, police located Thomas Agawa (age 22) in the driveway. He was arrested for trespass by night.

Evening news: On January 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. patrol officers were called R.J.’s Market at 238 Wellington St. West for an unwanted person.

Evening news: On January 20, 2014 Police Officers were called to a break and enter at Factory Auto Collision at 766 Peoples Rd. Officers learned that thieves had tried to gain entry to the building. At this time it is uncertain what was taken.

On January 19, two females were arrested at WalMart on Great Northern Road for shoplifting. It is alleged that the two entered the store and concealed numerous food and clothing items valued at almost $500 and left the store without paying.

A 33 year old woman was arrested last night on a warrant issued as a result of a domestic breach. It is alleged she contacted her ex- boyfriend by telephone 5 times on January 16th when she was on conditions not to communicate with him.
