On May 3, 2014 officers attended in the 600 block of Wellington Street West regarding an intoxicated female. A check of the individual revealed there were outstanding warrants for her arrest for failing to attend court and theft under $5000.

On May 2, 2014 police responded to a call at the Walmart store in the Station Mall regarding a shoplifter. Investigation revealed that the accused allegedly put meat products under her jacket and left the store. Security apprehended the accused.

On May 2, 2014 at 9:50 a.m., city police responded to the area of Queen Street West near Huron Street for a report of a male and female arguing. Police located the pair and observed them speaking to each other.

On April 30, 2014 police responded to an incident in the Wellington Street West area involving the accused and a female known to her. A verbal argument ensued and it is alleged that the accused punched the victim in the face.

Afternoon news On April 30, 2014 at approximately 3:10am officers responded to a domestic dispute. Investigation revealed that a 52 year old male assaulted the victim by pulling her hair and choking her.

On the 28th of April, 2014, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated a domestic assault complaint. Officers learned that a female had been assaulted by her 28-year-old male common-law partner.

A 20-year-old male was arrested today at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre while serving an intermittent sentence (weekends) for domestic related offences.

Vehicles were entered in the Boundary Road / Market St. areas overnight. Cash and personal items were stolen. All vehicles entered were left unlocked. Arrests 50-year-old Albert Harman of Allen St. was arrested at Joe’s No Frills on Korah Rd.

48-year-old Robert Desbois of Grosvenor Avenue was stopped last night while driving his motor vehicle on Wilcox Avenue. A records check showed that he was wanted for fail to appear for prints and a suspended driver.
