The Sault Ste. Marie Police were assisted by the United States Coast Guard this morning when they recovered a drifting 12 foot aluminum boat believed to belong to someone from the Canadian Side of the St. Mary’s River.

Evening news: A storage shed was reported broken into in the 800 block of Second Line West. It is reported that between 5:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00 a.m. this morning locks were cut off the building but nothing was stolen.

A garage was broken into in the 500 block of Cathcart Street overnight. Unknown what was taken at this time. * * * Theft from a vehicle in the 100 block of Spruce Street overnight. A wallet and IPOD NANO was taken.

20 year old Ryan Young of 306 Korah Road was arrested and charged with having more than the legal limit of alcohol in his blood while operating a motor vehicle after police were called at approximately 12:30 a.m.

Afternoon news On June 28, 2013, Glenda Bussineau, 47 years old, of 44 Smale Avenue was arrested on a first instance warrant for failing to attend for fingerprints. The accused had been attempting to cross over into the U.S.A.

Unlocked vehicles were entered on Bush St. and St. George’s Ave. West overnight. A wallet was taken. * * * 44 year old Alison Pine of 20 Gemah St in Garden River was arrested and charged with one count of mischief.

An attempt break in was reported to the 200 block of Gloucester St. The home owner was alerted to two males that were in the process of taking the screen off his back window. The suspects ran away when confronted.

Arrests 24 year old Josh Ryan Leclair of 67 Walnut St. and a 17 year old male were both charged with Break and Enter and Possession of Stolen Property. It is alleged that the accused persons were found on North St at approximately 4:30 a.m.
