FATAL ACCIDENT - NAME RELEASED A vehicle-pedestrian accident Friday evening about 10:30 on Second Line took the life of an 11-year old boy, Mitchell Wasyliniuk of 996 Second Line West.

City police report a quiet night last night with the occasional arrest for being drunk in a public place. City police still have no update on Friday night's fatal accident involving an 11-year old pedestrian.

SAULT FATALITY LAST NIGHT City police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Sault Ste. Marie that claimed the life of an 11-year old boy.

City police had a relatively quiet night last night although they did charge an 18-year old male with two counts of possession of stolen property and one count each of theft and attempted theft. Police were called to an attempted motor vehicle theft.

HALLOWEEN PRANKS Police received reports of two individuals in a dark blue car shooting at houses with a paintball gun in the Churchill Blvd., Elizabeth Street, and McMeeken Street areas shortly after 6pm.

MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING FEMALE Yesterday at 6:10am, city police arrested Richard Powley, age 33, of 38 Edinburgh Street. It is alleged he committed an assault on a female and also breached his probation. Powley will appear in bail court today.

GAS BAR BREAK-IN Police were called to a break and enter at the Beaver Gas Bar on McNabb Street. Numerous units attended including the K9 unit. As a result four males were arrested and charged with various offences.

NEW TRUCK BURNS On Saturday night at 11:00, police were called to the north end of Case Road where a 2002 Dodge pick-up truck was on fire. Witnesses said they had seen several youths in the area of the burning truck.

SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT City police report a single vehicle accident at 2:30 this morning near 1275 Trunk Road. A driver lost control of his vehicle, struck the curb, and then plowed into a utility pole.
