NIAGARA NORTHSHORE SPRING SHOWCASE - A musical showcase connecting music makers from Niagara along the Northshore.
Rita Visser and her friend Thunderclap! have been carving a musical path, connecting musicians from Niagara to the north shore the past couple of years to help raise the vibration.
Rita will weave together stories of growing up on a rustic fishing island on Lake Superior. She may even tell the tale of her grandfather riding a moose? Her songs from her latest album, Northern Daydream, were made for the North - especially her song, 'Batchawana Bay'. Soo guest artist, Lindsay Pugh, will be joining Rita as one of her Daydreamers for this special showcase on Pedal Steel. She can’t wait to daydream in melody with him.
And the night gets even better... Niagara Falls performance artist THUNDERCLAP! (A mix of David Bowie & Andy Kaufman) uses honesty and humility to develop an almost magical report with “every” audience he performs for. He has performed successfully all over North America & Western Europe. A live THUNDERCLAP show harkens back to the traditional arch of storytelling.
Special guests will also include the soul filled sounds and stomps from Niagara’s young budding Zach Bury & Wawa’s own ruggedly tender story tellin’ songstress, Alex Charbonneau. They all met on tour last year together, and the rest is Northern history.
