Two Dogs Found on Highway 101 On January 22, 2014 officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Chapleau Detachment were advised of two abandoned dogs that had been found on the side of Highway 101.

ROAD CLOSURE Highway 542 Mindemoya to Providence Bay The Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has closed Highway 542 from Mindemoya area to Providence Bay.

On Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at 2:53 p.m. , the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision on Hwy 556, Ranger Lake Road involving a motorized snow machine and a motor vehicle.

Sault Ste. Marie OPP responded to eight motor vehicle collisions on the four lanes, highway 17 east on Saturday, December 28, 2013. These collisions occurred within a five hour period between seven p.m. and midnight. No injuries were reported.
