SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT At 2:23 p.m. yesterday, on Highway #556, Deroche Township, a Ford Taurus driven by Lois Pringle of Sault Ste. Marie struck the warning pole at a Northland Rail Crossing causing significant damage to her vehicle. Sault Ste.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT Sault Ste. Marie At 3:00 p.m. yesterday, the Sault O.P.P. investigated a single vehicle accident on Highway 17 near the Mile Hill. There were no injuries reported. The vehicle, a 1993 Mazda MPV van received about $1,600 in damage.

HOUSE FIRE Goulais River, Ont. O.P.P. and the Goulais Fire and Rescue were called to a house fire yesterday morning on the Bye Side Road. The building was totally destroyed. At the time there was no one at home so there was no injury or loss of life.
