UPDATE TO FATAL DESBARATS COLLISION Desbarats, Ontario. Members of the Thessalon office of the East Algoma O.P.P. are still investigating yesterday's fatal collision that killed a local teenager and sent four other teens to area hospitals.

NUMEROUS CHARGES IN SINGLE VEHICLE INJURY COLLISION Heyden, Ont., A single vehicle collision early this morning in Heyden resulted in one man going to hospital and numerous criminal charges laid against the driver. At about 1:00 a.m.

VANDALISM TO VEHICLE Heyden, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP are investigating the vandalism to a vehicle parked at the Heyden Plaza. Some time late yesterday afternoon vandals repeatedly kicked the side of a car.

HIGHWAY 17 REOPENED Thessalon, Ont. A winter storm had closed highway 17 between Iron Bridge and Blind River early this morning. Snow and blowing snow had made the highway impassable.

EARLY MORNING "SMASH AND GRAB" Echo Bay, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP are investigating a break and enter that happened early this morning in Echo Bay.

HIGHWAY 17 REOPENED AFTER FATAL ACCIDENT Sudbury, Ont. Due to a fatal single-vehicle accident, Highway 17, approximately 1 km east of Narin Centre had been closed around noon today.

MINOR INJURIES IN SNOW MACHINE COLLISION Goulais River, Ont., Two Goulais River teenagers were taken to Sault Area Hospital after the snow machine they were riding collided with a parked car. This morning at about 1:45 a.m.

ILLEGAL GARBAGE DUMP Searchmont Sault O.P.P. is investigating an occurrence in which someone dumped a load of garbage at an emergency helicopter evacuation site on the Ranger Lake Road.
