I admire Gurwinder Dusanjh for stepping up to represent the provincial Liberals when no one else seemed to. It feels like he's kind of been thrown to the wolves, with little to no support. Unfortunately, admiration for person effort isn't what we are voting on. The local riding association has let you down.

This is sad. Though not a toy store, they always had a very interesting toy section.

I would like to make clear three points.
1) While the building at 712 Wellington St. has been sold, St. Andrew's United Church congregation is continuing. St. Andrew's continues to be a loving, welcoming congregation that will be meeting in a different location.
2) Old, large, buildings are expensive to maintain. It is better to use limited church resources to serve those in need in our community, rather than trying to keep a boiler going or a roof from leaking.
3) The letter writer has her own reasons for feeling as she does, she does not speak for the congregation of St. Andrew's United church.

You are not interpreting the stats correctly. Of all the people who find JT very favorable, 56% had been union members. 44% were never union members (100%). It does not indicate what percentage of all respondants think of JT very favorably.

So do you think Doctors and nurses will work at for-profit facilities for less money than they get now? Do you you not realize that the "profit" part of "for profit" will be paid by the user? It will be great for the corporation that owns the facility - not so good for the users.. And certainly not better for the tax payers. Consider what happened at the "for profit" long-term care homes compared to not-for profit LTC during the pandemic. For Profit had substantially higher death rates. Why? Because profit came ahead of care.
Do we need to improve health care? Absolutely. But taking workers out of the system is not the way to do it.

JBF - The Shouldice Clinic is not a general care facility. They specialize in hernia care. So they aren't skimming off family doctors, or general care nurses - which are already in short supply , to work there. It's not a good example of what a two-tiered health system would look like. For that - just look south of the boarder. Fine for those with money - not so much if you can't pay the extra.

Nathan, if you can't be vaccinated because of allergies then you should want everyone who can be vaccinated, to be vaccinated. While over 60% of the population has had both shots, only one half of one percent (point 5%) are showing covid positive. The vaccine makes it harder to get the virus and almost impossible to pass on. WE are protecting you.
