At 8:00 p.m. on August 06, 2016 City Police attended at a residence in the 700 Block of Wellington east during the course of investigating the theft of a validation sticker.

NEWS RELEASE SAULT STE. MARIE POLICE SERVICE ************************* On August 6th at 12:30 a.m., a female on Laura Street was woken up when an unknown male walked into her bedroom. The male grabbed a purse and Roots bag and fled on foot.

Information was received from the female victim that she was assaulted by the accused

Incidents on Wellington Street East, as well as Northern Avenue

Money and beer were taken in one break-in

On August 3, 2016 city police responded to a disturbance call in the area of Grace Street. Investigation revealed that a male was apparently intoxicated and was causing a disturbance by yelling and swearing.

A motorcycle and an e-bike were involved

No injuries were reported

At 3 p.m. on July 29, 2016 City Police arrested 26-year-old Shane Chad Agawa of Albert St West. It’s alleged that the accused failed to appear for a court date on July 25, 2016.
