On May 24, 2016 Natasha Baxter age 26 was arrested in the downtown area by city police due to outstanding warrants. The warrants included failing to attend court, possession of a controlled substance, breach of probation and theft under $5,000.

On May 23, 2016 city police arrested a 63-year-old male that had outstanding warrants for failing to attend court and break and enter. The accused Domas Ralph Balciunas is scheduled to appear in court on June 27, 2016 at 9 a.m.

A theft from a vehicle overnight on Penno Rd. was reported to City Police. A catalytic converter was stolen from a business on Second Line West from overnight. A break in was reported to a residence on Ferguson Ave.

On May 17, 2016 at 6:50 p.m. city police arrested 35 year old Kenneth Megginson of Pineshores Road, Goulais River. It’s alleged that the accused attended at Joe’s No Frill and stole merchandise valued at $19.30.

On May 17, 2016 city police were called to Mac’s Convenience Store on Second Line West. It is alleged a 19-year-old male stole over $130 in food items. He was found outside the store attempting to hide on police officers.

On the 15th of May 2016 at approximately 11:30 a.m., patrol officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service attended in the area of Chambers Avenue and spoke to a male who had been involved in a family dispute.

A residence in the 200 block of Wellington St. E. was reported broken into sometime on May 13. A 55 inch flat screen television, blue ray DVD, an X Box and games, a cell phone and sleeping bags were reported stolen.

On May 12, 2016 at 10:30 p.m. 41-year-old Dustin Sayer of Beverly Street attended the police station and turned himself in. The accused was wanted on warrants for theft and possession of stolen property stemming from a shoplifting incident.

On May 11, 2016 at 7:45 p.m. officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit stopped a vehicle being operated by 21-year-old Christopher Duclos of Biggings Avenue. The male was known to be a suspended driver.
