On January 24, 2016 city police attended at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Center and arrested Michael Todd Yaroshuk for four charges that had occurred on January 22, 2016.

A break in was reported to a garage in the 700 block of Wellington St. E. and a bike was stolen.

On January 22, 31-year-old Robyn Cote and 35-year-old Terry Rideout attended to Romes and left the store without allegedly paying for food and drink items valued at over $80. They were apprehended by store security and turned over to City Police.

On January 22, 2016 Thomas Chevrier, age 18, turned himself in at the City Police Service regarding an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court.  Chevrier is now scheduled to appear in court in answer to the charge on February 29, 2016 at 9 a.m.

Sometime between January 15 and January 20, unknown culprits broke into a garage on Wellington Street East. Once inside the culprits stole a spot welder, TV and punching bag stand.

At 5:05 p.m. on January 19, 2016 city police arrested 46-year-old Winston Causley of North Street. It’s alleged that the accused attended at Walmart on Bay Street and stole merchandise valued at $19.69.

At 10 p.m. on January 18, 2016 city police arrested Adam McKinley of Whitby, ON on an outstanding warrant. It’s alleged that between September and November of 2014 the accused stole funds in excess of $27,000 from a person known to the accused.

Sometime overnight between January 16 and January 17, a shed on Pentagon Boulevard was entered. Nothing was taken from the shed. However thieves did steal a 2008 Mercury 25 horsepower long outboard motor from a boat stored in the yard.

On December 22, 2015 a male was at a residence in the area of South Market Street and after a verbal argument he allegedly caused damage to the interior of the apartment.

Police discovered a male that was asleep behind the wheel of the vehicle.
