On April 27, 2015, city police responded to domestic incident in the west end of the city. Investigation revealed that a male suspect age 33 was in a verbal argument with the victim. The argument escalated and the victim was assaulted.

On April 27, 2015 at 12:00 pm Patrol Officers arrested and charged a 33-year-old male for domestic assault and mischief. The male is alleged to have assaulted his wife and broke their telephone and cellphone.

On the 26 April 2015 the City Police Ride Unit were set up in the area of Wellington St East near East St. They stopped a vehicle and detected the smell of an alcoholic beverage on the driver’s breath. He was given a roadside test and failed.

On April 24, 2015 at 7pm Sault Ste Marie Police attended a downtown address in regards to a domestic investigation. Information was received that on April 22, 2015 a 48 year old male accused assaulted his common law spouse by repeatedly pushing her.

On the 24 April 2015 Murray Lacrosse (age 42) turned himself into the City Police regarding an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for fingerprints. He will be appearing in court on the 11 May to answer to the charge.

As a result of sexual assault investigation, a 30-year-old male was arrested and charged with 3 counts of sexual assault, 3 counts of sexual interference and two counts of invitation to sexual touching.

On April 20, 2015 at approximately 8:15 p.m., city police responded to an internal theft call at the Walmart Store at 446 Great Northern Road. A store employee allegedly stole currency from her till on 4 different occasions.

On April 20, 2015 Brian Wing age 31 of Government Rd. Echo Bay was in attendance at the court house when it was discovered he had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for prints.

On the 19 April 2015 City Police were in the area of Wellington St. West when they observed a vehicle at a high rate of speed. The police went after the car and observed it go through two red lights.

On April 17, 2015 28 year old Ryan Wills of St. Georges Ave E attended at a local pawn shop and alledgedly attempted to pawn a dewalt drill that had been stolen during a break and enter.
