City Police Beat

On the 1 January 2015 Batchewana Police located and arrested a male on an outstanding warrant from 2012. Charged with theft under $5,000.00, failing to appear for fingerprints and failing to appear in court is Andre Gagnon (age 34).

On December 31, 2014 at 11:18 a.m. Patrol Officers and Detectives arrested and charged Curtis Charlebois, age 24 of Albert Street West, with Robbery and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

Sometime during the holidays unknown person(s) entered Fastenal Industrial Supplies located at 671 Great Northern Road and made off with a variety of tools.

A 29 year old male was arrested and charged with various domestic related incidents including threatening, mischief under $5000, and breach of probation.

On the 28th of December, 2014 at approximately 1025 hrs officers responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision at the 200 block of Queen Street East.

On the 27 of December 2014 at approximately 2:45 a.m. patrol officer observed a vehicle driving erratically in the area of Bruce St.

On December 25, 2014 at 8:54 a.m., City Police arrested and charged a 38 year old male with several domestic related charges.

On the 23rd of December 2014 at approximately 1:30pm officers from Patrol Services attended an east end residence and located a male wanted for a domestic charge of breaching his Recognizance of Bail.

Joshua ROESS, age 21, of no fixed address was arrested this afternoon on outstanding warrants after being transferred to the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre.

On the 21st of December 2014 at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers from Patrol Services attended a local address for a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed that a female had assaulted her common-law boyfriend by hitting him in the head area.
