City Police Beat

City Police and Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services are currently at a fire scene at the Albert St. W. and Hudson St. area of town. A garage was completely destroyed by the fire and a neighbouring house received some damage from the fire.

On Thursday, December 18 shortly before 5 p.m., a 40-year-old female turned herself in to police by attending at the Police Station.

On December 18, 2014 a female accused attended at the City Police Service and turned herself in because of an outstanding warrant for assault. The assault was dated and took place when the accused was a young person.

On December 16, 2014 the following accused was arrested in Heyden, Ontario with the assistance of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Emergency Services Unit and the Sault Ste. Marie OPP.

Sometime between 3 p.m. on the 15th of December, and 1 a.m. on the 16th of December, a residence on Hugill Street was entered. Items taken include a black Microsoft Surface tablet, an Ipod touch and a red Nikon digital camera.

On December 14, 2014, at approximately 4:47 p.m., officers from Patrol Services attended a downtown residence with regards to a domestic dispute.

On December 14, 2014 at 10:35 am Patrol Officers arrested and charged a 21 year old male with 3 counts of Assault and one count of Threatening Bodily Harm following a domestic related complaint.

On the 13th of December 2014 at approximately 2:39 p.m. officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police attended an east end residence with regards to a call for service.

On the 12th of December 2014 1104hrs officers from Patrol Services attended a residence in the central area of the city with regards to a domestic dispute. Police arrested a 22yrs old male for Break and Enter and Assault.

On December 11, 2014 City Police and OPP officers attended in Thessalon Ontario and apprehended a female accused that had outstanding warrants. The accused failed to attend court, failed to attend prints and assault police.
