Snow Safety The Sault Ste Marie Police Service would like to remind parents and children to play safe this winter. Playing in the snow can be lots of fun but it does have its risks too.

City Police did respond to over 12 motor vehicle collisions. Road conditions and weather conditions have not been great this last week. Police would once again like to remind all drivers to take a few precautions before driving this winter.

Update on Motor Vehicle Fatality Sunday evening just after 8pm the Sault Ste. Marie City Police along with the Ontario Provincial Police, the Sault Ambulance and the Sault Ste Marie Fire Services responded to a fatal motor vehicle collision.

Impaired Driving 40 year old Arvo Leppanen of 25 Wellington Street West Apt#3 has been charged with 1 count of impaired driving and 1 count of consuming alcohol over the legal limit.
