Fraud Alert - Counterfeit Cheque used to purchase vehicle in SSM As we are all aware the city has been inundated with counterfeit fraudulent cheques sent to vendors who are selling things or renting property via internet classified ads.

Male Charged with Assault Yesterday evening at approx. 7:05 Pm City Police arrested Shaun Mearow and charged him with assault. It is alleged that on Sept. 12th Mr. Mearow assaulted another male by punching him in the face several times.

Male Charged with Theft Yesterday morning just after 7 am 23-year old Henry Cadreau of 28 Hughes Street was arrested and charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Males Charged with Breach of Probation Last evening around 8 pm City Police attended in the 500 block of Boundary Road. A caller reported 2 males had entered a backyard in that area and left with a bbq propane tank.

Aggravated Assault Charges Laid 34-year old Clifford Neveau of 265 McNabb Street will appear in bail court this morning. It is alleged that on the 10th of September the accused assaulted another male by repeatedly kicking him in the head.

Road Closure Drivers in the City’s west end may need to allow themselves more travel time this morning due to a road closure. As of 7 am this morning, Korah Road north of Second Line West will be closed.
