BREAK & ENTER Last night around 10:30 city police responded to a break and enter in progress at the Staples Business Depot at 345 Great Northern Road. Officers found 2 men fleeing the scene and a foot pursuit started.

Sault City Police had a very quiet twenty-four hour period. Sergeant Levis Vallee says there were two males in the cells this morning for breach of release conditions.

VICTIM FOLLOWED 50-year-old Gordon Sykes was arrested yesterday afternoon on charges of Breach of Recognizance and Criminal Harassment. It is alleged that Mr. Sykes was continuously following the complainant.

U.S. RESIDENT CHARGED At 4:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon, city police arrested 38-year-old Bradley Robinson for driving while disqualified. Yesterday evening, at 7:45, police observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner on Albert Street East.

ATTEMPTED BREAK & ENTER Early this morning, at 2:55, city police were called to a bowling alley at 80 Goulais Ave in regards to two males trying to break-in.

ASSAULTED AT PUB At 11:50 last night, city police were called to Madison’s Pub, in the Pine Plaza in regards to an altercation. After speaking to a female complainant officers arrested two females for assault and threatening.

CAR DAMAGED Yesterday at 2:00am, city police assisted security at the River Rock, in locating a male person, wanted for mischief.

City Police Sergeant, Levis Vallee is chalking it up to the very poor weather overnight. The city police cells were completely empty this morning. Even the routine calls were at an absolute minimum overnight.

Although The City Police Service had a steady night, there were no serious incidents or injuries. Six are in the cells this morning. Sergeant Steve Train reports that four are in for liquor-related offences.

CHARGES LAID IN PICKET LINE INCIDENT The City Police Service has charged 38-year-old Andrei Muntean of 1588 Wellington Street East in regards to the incident at the Border earlier today where a person on the picket line was struck by a vehicle.
