The Sault Ste Marie Police Service had a quiet 24 hours responding to 50 calls, nine of which were for motor vehicle accidents. BREAK & ENTERS City Police are investigating two Break and Enters that took place overnight.

YOUTH ON THE LOOSE Yesterday afternoon, at approx. 3:45 , a resident, of the 100 block of Grosvenor Ave., returned home to find two youths in her house. The culprits fled the premises and ran along the railway tracks.

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service had a relatively quiet day yesterday responding to 60 calls for assistance. MOTOR VEHICLES INVOLVED Eleven of those calls were for motor vehicle collisions.

SECOND LINE W. ACCIDENT The Sault Ste Marie Police Service investigated 24 motor vehicle collisions over the weekend. One of these accidents resulted in personal injuries. The accident occurred on Sun.

It was a very quiet Sunday morning today until Sault City Police Patrol Officers discovered at break-in at the Fraternal Order of Eagles hall on Wellington Street West at about 3:00 o’clock.

QUIET NIGHT The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service had a fairly quiet night last night. There was one arrest. A young offender was arrested for her own protection in the lobby of a west end apartment building last evening.

YOUTH CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT Last Wednesday at approximately 12:10 pm, a 13-year-old was at a local school when the youth sexual assaulted another student. The young person committed the assault by touching the victim’s chest area and buttocks.

PEDESTRIAN CHARGED IN ACCIDENT A pedestrian, 57-year-old Shirley Ashick of Sault Ste. Marie, was hit by a vehicle as she attempted to cross Great Northern Road on December 6th.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON Yesterday at approximately 3:30 am the accused, Bernard Agawa, age 50 of 78 Adrian Drive, started arguing with another male known to him.
