MURDER SUSPECT APREHENDED IN THE SAULT Shortly after 6:00 pm last evening the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service was advised by the Winnipeg Police Service that a male suspect in a homicide they were investigating was possibly enroute to Sault Ste.

POLICE SPOT FUGITIVE Today at 2:25 am patrol officers arrested Thomas Gordon Kennedy, age 19, of no fixed address and charged him with two counts of breach of probation, impersonation with intent and unlawfully at large.

CHARGE WITH ASSAULT Yesterday morning, patrol officers were called to a home on Portage Lane for a complaint that an argument had escalated into an assault.

RIDE PROGRAM On Saturday night and into the early morning hours of Sunday, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service conducted RIDE spot checks at various locations in the city.

It was an incredibly bad day for 19-year-old Jason Gilbert of Sault Ste. Marie. Police allege that Gilbert stole a 1990 Nissan last night from the 300 block of River Road.

City police had a fairly quiet night last night. There were a couple of arrests for being intoxicated in a public place as the local watering holes closed for the night. One was also charged with resisting arrest.

STOLEN TOOLS RECOVERED Yesterday afternoon, patrol officers arrested a 26-year-old male who, it is alleged, had pawned a variety of tools stolen from New North Greenhouses on August 14th.

YOUTH ASSAULTS POLICE Yesterday at approximately 3:57 pm police officers were called to remove a 17-year-old male from a residence on Manitou Dr. He had became extremely agitated and upset with having to leave the residence.

ONE ARRESTED IN MAJOR CREDIT CARD FRAUD Yesterday at 1:55 p.m., detectives from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, Investigation Services Fraud Unit, arrested 36-year-old Jonathan Alabi, of 103-1916 Weston Road, Toronto.
