City police report only 5 minor accidents in the past 24 hours. There were also four arrests. Two for shoplifting, one for trespass to property and one for failing to appear in court.

City Police Service reports several minor accidents over the weekend although there was little property damage and no injuries. There were several arrests, nine of whom were young offenders.

City Police had a very quiet night last night. There were a total of 4 arrests during the past twenty-four hours. Two were minor in nature and the other two were intoxicated in a public place.

City Police had a fairly quiet night last night. In the past twenty-four hours there were ten arrests including two for being drunk in a public place. The rest were for minor thefts such as shoplifting. Four of the ten arrested are young offenders.

TRUCK LOSES WHEELS It could have been a disaster but no one was hurt when a transport truck lost a set of wheels on Black Road last night. Police received the call at 9:47 p.m.

There were three break and enters reported yesterday. The first was in the 100 block of Eastern Ave. The second was in the 100 block of Albert Street West. Police are unable to release additional information at this time.

TWO BREAK AND ENTERS YESTERDAY City Police Service is investigating two break and enters that took place yesterday. The first was to a residence in the 100 block of Prentice Avenue. Entry was gained by breaking a basement window.

City police had a relatively quiet day yesterday in spite of the weather. DRIVING CONDITIONS Highway 17 North remains closed from Heyden to Wawa. Highway 17 east is now open although snow-covered.
