DRUG BUST Yesterday around 2 pm officers from the Joint Forces Drug Unit made a large seizure of narcotics. Officers stopped a vehicle towing a boat on Great Northern Road between 3rd and 4th Line East and located 212 marijuana plants in the boat.

DRUG BUST Last night at approximately 5:30 pm, officers from the team that targets problem oriented policing, executed a search warrant at an address in the 900 block of Queen Street East and located 7 persons using narcotics.

SUSPECT IDENTIFIED On Friday, police arrested a male on the Rotary grounds who was accused of looking up the skirt of a female with a video camera.

ARRESTED IN APARTMENT BUILDING 32-year-old Craig Witty of 28 Landslide Road will be in bail court today to answer a number of charges. It is alleged that, yesterday at 3:00 a.m.

Sergeant Steve Davey reports that City police had a busy night although it was mainly routine calls. Police caught two people conducting a break and entry into a home in the 400 block of Korah Road at 3:00 this morning.

It was a busy night for Sault Ste. Marie’s finest with 13 arrests in the past twenty-four hours. Two males were arrested in two separate domestic disturbance incidents. Both will be going to court in August. There were no serious injuries.

DRUG BUST On the 16th of July 2004 at approximately 12:30 a.m., Derek Brown age 21 of 16 Peace Tree Drive was a passenger in a vehicle that passed through a R.I.D.E. checkpoint.

TAKING ABOUT BEARS At a City Council meeting on July 5th, Ward 6 Councillor Jason Collins and Ward 3 Councillor Bryan Hayes, requested the City call together officials from a number of agencies to have an information session regarding nuisance bears.
