BANNED COMMUNICATIONS A 51-year old male will appear in bail court today after he communicated with his ex-girlfriend while on a release document that didn’t allow communication with her.

The City Police Service reports a very quiet twenty-four hour period. One youth was picked up for Breach of Probation. Other than that, police have nothing to report.

City police had a fairly quiet twenty-four hour period. They are still looking for 27-year-old Paul Whalen in connection with the east-end gun discharge on Wednesday (see story and photo on news page.

POLICE SEEK HELP Yesterday’s News Report: Last night shortly before midnight, City Police responded to a residence in the City’s east end regarding a report of gunshots. Police and ambulance personnel located a 23-year old female in the residence.

SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGE City police received a call just before 8:00 last evening regarding a domestic dispute. When officers arrived, there were additional accusations made about a sexual assault.

BITES OFFICER On Wednesday at approximately 9:00 p.m. police were called to the General Hospital to assist with a patient. While trying to calm him down, the accused became aggressive and assaulted one officer by biting him on the hand.
