Fire Investigation The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service continues its investigation into a fire that occurred on Tuesday night in the 100 block of Capp Avenue. The residence was a vacant however a mattress in the home had been set on fire.

Suspicious Fire Last evening around 7:20 pm City Police and Fire Services were called to a house fire in the 100 block of Capp Avenue. The residence is a vacant home and damage was minimal. The fire has been deemed suspicious.

Out-of-towner charged with using cell phone as weapon A 22-year-old Michigan man has been charged with assault with a weapon after a domestic dispute early this morning at Algoma's Water Tower Inn.
