The Sault City Police Service has had a relatively quiet weekend in spite of the full moon. There were two people in custody this morning, one for a liquor offence and the other for Breach of Recognizance.

The City Police Service answered several routine calls last night and arrested one person for being drunk in a public place. There were no accidents or other newsworthy items to report.

The Sault City Police Service reports a fairly quiet twenty-four hour period with just a few routine calls but nothing to report today.

GROCERY STORE THIEFT On the 30th of August 2003, the accused Terri Brown, age 29 of 473 Moody Street attended the No Frills Grocery Store located at 519 Korah Road.

UTTERING FORGED DOCUMENT On Wednesday, October 8th at 10:10 am, detectives from the Fraud Unit arrested a 17-year-old young person and charged the youth with Uttering a Forged Document and Empty Envelope Fraud.

WAYNE COWAN CHARGED IN RAINONE DEATH On Wednesday, July 16th at 10:40 pm, Paul Christopher Rainone, age 43 of 206 Breton Road, was assaulted in the 600 block of Connaught Avenue.

9-1-1-SERVICE BACK THIS MORNING At approximately 11:45 am yesterday, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service lost its 9-1-1 service along with radio communications and computer record management systems.

From Friday, September 26th until Friday, October 3rd, 2003 the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service charged 86 persons under the Highway Traffic Act for a variety of offences at various locations in the city.

CHARGES OF THEFT AND FRAUD On or between the 1st of June 2003 to the 30th of June 2003, the accused Corey Walter Evans, age 38 of 356 Rowell Ave. allegedly defrauded a car alarm system valued at over $400.
