ADJUSTING TO WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated ten motor vehicle collisions yesterday. Most were of a very minor nature.

EMPLOYEE THIEFT During the month of July the accused Robert Hilliard, age 26 of 10 Pozzebon Cres. allegedly committed several internal thefts from Bata Shoes in the Station Mall. On November 3rd at 10:00 am the accused turned himself over to police.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service laid 135 charges last week under the Highway Traffic Act. These charges were for a variety of offences in various locations in the city. The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service experienced a quiet past 24 hours.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service held the 20th annual Crime Prevention Seminar yesterday at the Holiday Inn. Over 43 community groups and law enforcement agencies from both sides of the border were in attendance at the seminar.

ZELLERS’ THEFT Yesterday morning shortly after 11:00 am the accused, Alfredo Cesario, age 37 of 38 Ashgrove Drive set off the store door alarms while exiting the Zellers on Northern Avenue.

OBSTRUCTING POLICE On Monday, the 20th of October at 8:10 am the accused, Clifford Ladouceur, age 37 of 41 Old Garden River Road #103 was stopped by police officers for a Highway Traffic Act violation.

ACCIDENT, CATHCART & HURON On Friday, October 24th at 7:30 am Police were called to investigate a motor vehicle collision involving two trucks at the intersection of Cathcart Street and Huron Street.

BUSY NIGHT The City Police Service was kept busy last night. There is one robbery under investigation but police are releasing nothing until later today.

The City Police Service had a very quiet night last night. There was no one in custody this morning and calls were limited to a very few and of a routine nature.
