City Police Beat

DOMESTIC DISPUTE City police answered a domestic dispute call in the west end yesterday. A 37-year-old male had an argument with his 35-year-old wife during which he bit her on the wrist. He was arrested for assault.

MOOSE ON THE LOOSE City police are having an exciting time trying to coax a moose from the Sault College Area back into the wilderness. Police received the call just before 7:30 this morning and expect to have the wildlife problem taken care of soon.

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service was kept busy during the last 24 hours responding to over 100 calls. There were two break and enters reported yesterday. One was to Biff's Buff & Shine at 285 Conmee Avenue.

CHARGED WITH SHOPLIFTING AT ROME'S Yesterday, at shortly after 4:00 pm, the accused, Tina Pezzotti, age 28 of 75 Atwater Street, left Rome's Independent Grocers, 44 Great Northern Road, with over $130.

WOMAN CHARGED WITH THEFT & ASSUALT On March 8, 2003 at 4:23 pm, the accused, a 40-year-old female allegedly stole the property of her mid twenties girlfriend.
