Sault City Police report a quiet night last night. There were three arrests. Two were juveniles charged with assault. The third arrest was an adult also charged with assault.

City Police had a fairly busy twenty-four hour period. They answered two assault calls from the jail. At 10:40 a.m. yesterday, an inmate-on-inmate altercation resulted in assault charges being laid against 18-year-old Adrian Smith.

City police report a fairly quiet night last night. There was one assault in connection with a domestic disturbance to which police were dispatched. At 9:00 p.m.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service reports a fairly quiet period last night. About 2:00 a.m. this morning police investigated a break and enter on the 1100 block of Queen East.

STABBING IN DOWNTOWN AREA City Police Service is investigating a stabbing that took place at about 7:00 last night. The victim, 19-year-old Thomas Mattinas, says he was drinking at a friend's residence and then went for a walk in the downtown area.

Yesterday at 4:27 p.m., a red jeep drove over the foot of a pedestrian and then fled the scene. The jeep was travelling on Bruce Street and made a left turn onto Algoma Avenue.

City police report a quiet overnight period. There were 12 minor accidents with very little damage and no injuries.

City police are investigating four break and enters that took place over the weekend. In the early morning hours of Saturday, four males entered a residence in the 100 block of Andrew Street.

Police executed an arrest warrant yesterday for Luke Ralph, age 27 of Elliot Road. Ralph has been charged with assault with a weapon (a baseball bat) in an incident that occurred in Central Park on January 28 of this year.

There was an unusual assault in the Sault overnight. City Police say that at about 3:30 this morning, they received a call about several people fighting at Great Northern Road and Northern Avenue.
